And you cannot get any easier that putting things on sticks. It makes it easy for little ones to hold and makes the food look a little more special. Following are two easy ideas you can use at your next party. The ingredients are readily available, affordable and also a great project to do with the kids.
On the 10th of November our little “spirited” Isabell turned 4 and seeing we were moving into our new house not long after her birthday, we had a little party for her a week early. To help alleviate stress on me (because lets face it, mums generally do all the Birthday organising) we only had a small party with her closest friends and grandparents. I always feel a little pressure throwing Izzy parties considering I run a party supply business, however this is the second year it has fallen during a busy time of moving house (we moved into a rental last year after selling our house) and once again I had to keep it simple and easy and fortunately seeing she is still little I could probably really get away with just a cake, balloon and a present!
I recently got some really cute little card treat trays from my supplier and wanted an alternative to a rich truffle to put in them for kids parties and I came across a great recipe from Essential Kids that I thought I would try. Anything that states “No Bake” always catches my eye, especially in this rental property that has an oven that does not believe in maintaining temperature. I cannot wait until we move (around 2 weeks) into our new house we are building and into that beautiful kitchen I have spent many months planning and dreaming about!
We recently went on a trip to Strawberry Fields which is located in Palmview on the Sunshine Coast. It was a great day out and really enjoyed watching Isabell and her little friend Maddie picking the strawberries. If you live on the Coast or up for a holiday and have little ones I highly recommend going and there is a great cafe so you can sit and have something yummy to eat while the kids play in the sun. Visit their website for more information as it is a seasonal operation.
Iz loves strawberries at the moment which is great seeing they are in season and easily gobbles down a punnet every day or so. But there are also some great things you can make for parties that involve strawberries. Why not try the following at your next party? Click on photos and it will take you to pinterest site where you can find more details on how to make.

Well as per yesterdays post I tried my homemade chocolate yogo in the car this morning in a Sinchie and it was a huge success. Isabell sucked it all up quickly and very neatly and even though I planned ahead and put a lovely old tea towel around her to keep her top clean just in case….turns out the Sinchie made it nice and clean and no mess! (Sorry about photo quality but only had my mobile with me!)
