And you cannot get any easier that putting things on sticks. It makes it easy for little ones to hold and makes the food look a little more special. Following are two easy ideas you can use at your next party. The ingredients are readily available, affordable and also a great project to do with the kids.
One of the easiest things by far simply slice up a watermelon and cut out shapes using cookie cutters and pop onto paddle pop sticks. When I made these Isabell ate 5 sticks in a matter of minutes, so might also be a good way to serve fruit at home for those kids that just are not that into fruit.
Simply take a paper straw or skewer and push into marshmallow, then melt some chocolate and dip to cover base and sides. Roll in sprinkles and presto! You are done. Just make sure you let excess chocolate drip off before rolling in sprinkles and try to let chocolate set on some wax paper/gladwrap before putting on your final display tray as they will stick if not set first. (Found out the hard way!)
